Late Yuma dove report

This is my first hunting report.

I have been hunting in the Yuma area for the past 6 seasons.

This was by far the slowest opener that I have experienced.

Still got limits both days down in the Somerton area.

If you have not seen the 30 foot high fences that they are putting up to stem the illegals, it is worth the drive just to see this amazing structure.

I am going to look for another area next season.

Jim

I hear ya Jim. Imagine the surprise i got when I jumped the canal to find that fence and gate blocking the access road to where we hunted the past seasons. Did you see larry down there? How bout that thunderstorm saturday night. My daughter picked that night to lock my keys to the truck in the cab. Did you hunt on Cocopah reservation? Take care

I hunted with Larry T, and his son.

We were a little South of the Cocopah Reservation.

Probably look for a new spot next year.
