A jack rabbit hunt turn's into a shed hunt

I went out to see if I could sick some jack rabbit's with my bow.
I ended up shed hunting I found 3 shed's one was a small 3 point and the ether two were a thick 4 point mule deer and the last one was a big old 6 point elk shed.I found the elk shed in the timber 15.min from my house the cool thing about this place was you can be hunting in the tall sage brush and the next min you can be hunting elk in the timber.The two deer shed's I found in the sage.I didint see any hair's the snow was coming down pretty hard and got on some elk 3 or 4 good bull's. there are no pic's and there's no cring about it and Ill get them up as soon asI can.

Just looked it up on my old license, it was 2000, hot as hell all the Elk were broken up into 2-3 head groups (water was scarse) it was way hot (Bakersfield hot) at the end of Sept. only saw one Elk that whole week, couldn't get inside a 100 yards, small cow anyway. Did do some fun shooting in an archery shop in Bend though.

A "shed" is one the pair of antlers that a deer or elk drops every year. They grow new antlers every year and the sheds are a good way to tell how old and how big the animals in a given area are for the next season.

I have some friends who live in La Pine. Hunted Elk with them just South of there ner Diamond Valley Lake a couple years ago. Beautiful area.....

Are your friend's bow hunter's.
There are some good bull's in central OR but what people think that eastern OR has some monster bull's I was deer hunting the snake river and my budy stuck a 422 P&Y bull and that was a fun hunt.
