I'm new to the boards but I thought I would post a report on some of the excellent goose and duck hunting that has been taking place this season near Cibola, Arizona.
We started hunting in late November and with only a week left of the waterfowl season hunting has remained steady for both Canada geese and ducks. Many, many limit days on the geese. I shot my first banded goose this season and went on to collect 5 more for a total of 6 banded geese so far...pretty incredible since in 15 years of goose hunting I had never shot one banded bird.
My hunts next week will finish the season. It has been alot of fun so I am bummed it is coming to an end. It seems late September is a long way off for my Saskatchewan hunting trip...Oh well, thank God I fish too!

Do you freelance or hunt on private land up there. I've heard it's been slow up there, but the last couple weeks it has turned on...I guess it was an understatement!

It's been so long, I probably lost them
I'm afraid what I'll find the next time I go, but I'm gonna try to make it out mid-week next week to check on the place, but doubt I'll have time to hunt.
