Just went for a couple hours because I had to take the family to Disneyland for my daughters 3rd birthday. Jumped a couple gadwall in the first pond missed both
and that cheddar I blew spooked all the birds off the back ponds.
Grabbed the hound and found some good blind cover to sit in but only resulted in a bluebill which I dropped with one shot and Cody finally got to make a retrieve. Decided to work the creek since time was running out for me. Managed to jump up a cinnamon drake in the creek. Made a tough shot through some thick cover and as I am getting the teal back from Cody a drake mallard decided to fly over.
One shot drop and that was it for me...Can't wait for next year since no one hunts ducks at this spot, just dove and quail.
