Quick report my computer just froze and I lost my report. Got to wister early to hunt some quail near there. Busted 3 coveys of quail. The first one had about 50 birds in it. The second covey had 30 to 40 birds in it. My dad and I ran out of shell on the second covey and had to wait for my friend Freddie to come back to the car to get more shells. While waiting for him I was watching another covey with 100+ bird in it run around. When Freddie got back to the car we got more shell and went after the covey. Chased the covey till it got dark and had to stop chasing them. I ended up with 6 and lost 2 my dad got 6 and lost none and Freddie got 0 and lost 2. My dad and I would of had limits but the ran out of time.
The next morning we hunted ducks at wister. I thought we would have no problem getting a good spot with res 15. I was wrong my 4 spots went 1 2 3 4 infront of us. So we pick a spot I have never hunted before and it sucked. I got no ducks and Freddie got none and my dad got 2. We did not see very many birds. I talked to the group that had my favorite spot and they had limits.
Left wister and went looking for more quail. Found 2 coveys. I got 1 and lost one, my dad got 1 and lost 2 and Freddie got none. Im heading to the El Paso Mountains tomorrow looking for chucker. The last time I hunted chucker was 7 years ago.
