Nice haul. Freakin ducks are almost as big as the geese! Couple more weeks and we'll start our season. Nothing like THAT though:jo:

Re: For you goose and duck hunters!

Hot damn! That looks like fun! What do you do with your snows? I've had some ground up and made into jerky sticks that were OK. Most of the other ways I've had them, they were a bit funky. Got a secret recipe?

ET,

We donated a bunch to a indian reservation and filleted out a bunch and gave them to hunters!

As far as cooking, with ducks and geese I soak them in water in the fridge for 3-5 days to get as much blood out as possible and then I cook them a few waves.

Marinate them in Italian salad dressing for a few hours, cut them in 1" cubes wrap them with bacon and make "ka-bobs", cook them just until the bacon is cooked.

You can make sausage out of them, mix them with pork they taste good!

You can bbq them but you need to serve them rare!

VERY Nice!

I've never seen so many geese.

That looks like fun.

I've eaten Canada Goose a few times and it was AWESOME.

Do snows not taste as good?

Re: For you goose and duck hunters!

Depends on what they are eating. If they are on grain and grass, good. If they are eating cattails and mudroot .....yuck.
