I'm Back with a late report!!!!

I'm Back Online fugers!!!!!
So here's the whole story!!!

Opening day D16 I got stood up by my normal hunting buddy(he wanted ducks), so I went with Dave(skip jackson) to one of his spots. It was a good thing as I ended up with a nice forky. Thanks Dave !!!!!

Gun shots going off all morning and we hadn't seen any deer yet. Dave had made a run up the Canyon we were glassing to see if he could push anything out for a shot, no such luck After he climbed back up to where we had been glassing, two ridges away I see 3 deer on a full run straight at us. I told dave one of them was a buck and he said go for it "I just went for a hike". So I took off straight at them. By the time I got to the top of this little ridge that was in between where I saw them last and where Dave and I had been standing. You could hear the frieght train a coming and fast. They where about 70 yards west of me and at a full run, just enough time to back off the zoom on my scope draw a bead and shoot. I hit the forky right in the kill zone while he was on a dead run right past me. Took out the lungs and all the plumbing that goes to his heart. Like Dave said "you couldn't have hit him better if he was standing still".

Thanks Dave for taking me on an awsome trip!!!!

If any of you get the chance to hunt with Dave do it!!! He knows the local moutains good and he's good company to hang out with all day. He'll even help ya try to get your deer out whole for your 2 year old son(never seen a deer close up) to see, even if it takes all damn day to get it out of there :0
Two weeks from now I'll see if I can repay him by dragging his deer out In pieces though!!!

By the one pic you can see how excited my little guy was he came out of the house in his undees just to see it.

Nice job Jim, That was one of the best hunting days in a long time. After all the muscles quit aching, it was pure satisfaction. My truck has some new battle scars from getting in closer to shorten the haul out. But that's why I bought it. The next one gets boned out, even if it gets shot right next to the truck!

That deer hasn't gotten any smaller.....

That is one huge local deer. Did you weigh it by chance? Congratulations again! I told you good things were bound your way

Dude just when mine quit aching, I went for the long treck.

I hope we can get one out of that way in spot, all though if ya could shoot it on the way back to the truck say maybe 10 yards away or so would be better
You polish of all that sausage yet?
