Wow, # 2 draw....picked blind # 9 ............all quite at shoot time. It was not untill 8:30 or so that I decide to hike up the arm and look for the mallards quaking away. Walked through a shit load of stickers bushes, and very loud brush...and I finally saw the mallards. 2 drakes and a hen... I lit them up, and dropped one Drake , and one hen...funny the 3rd mallard did not even flinch, but I could not even slues the bad boy, just 2 far away. So after makeing sure this Hawk did not take my much deserved prize...I hike back, got the boat, and retrieved my catch....boated up a few more yards and scared up a couple of shovlers...only to wing the hen..at a way out shot that was so cool to see POOF of feathers from her belly...I watched her soar 300 yards or so...well I found her...she was hurt bad, one more shot to secure her from flying..not that she really was going anywhere. Then it was back to the blind..a few minutes later...Holy shit hear come the rings necks huge flight, YES they land right on top of the deeks. And as I stand, and they take off, only one drake falls....Man I suck. now it is just about time to pack it in, one last flight of 4 come in and was able tro drop the one hen...time to go home.

Wow! Nice work Gene! That's a really good day at Barrett.
I almost joined you. My Halloween Party ended at 1:30am. I decided I was going to Barrett. Loaded up the truck and set the alarm for 2:45am. Woke up about 10am.
