Hunting Reports Thread, Scarring my deer in Hunting; Public land, walking a dog....don't see the problem...(off the leash would be the only issue I would have)...

They can be off the leash. I have never hunted with a dog on a leash.......

Read the first post again.
They were walking through a rec area. Archery only. No shooting guns in a rec area. Dogs have to on a leash in a rec area.

No its just a courtesy issue. I mountainbike but at this time of year I stick to state parks. But like I said in my original post, maybe they just dont know about hunting season.

Weimeriners looklike Yotes right no ,Im not sure it was a wild dog J/K ,I would have cahtted with them tell them some people might mistaken their dog for a deer/yote and this is not a good time JMHO

Looking out for their dog's safety, good idea. Weimaraners definitely do look like small deer, except that they are frickin TWEEKERS and dont ever stop moving. I would have a pic of my Weimer on here but I cant take any that aren't blurry.
