The show

Went out again this morning with madbuck and it was the best hunting experience I think I have ever had. At 0625 3 doe come in and then they are followed by a couple of little ones. They quickly walk away and under some oaks (that are dropping candy) and then a few more doe and a few more rugrats. They are all just filling up on acorns when all of a sudden they start to scatter like something spooked them. A couple of seconds later, a HUGE forkie (18 -20" with thick bases and eye guards) pokes his head over the ridge and then he starts feeding with the girls. Ten minutes later the does all spook and the buck charges behind a tree. A smaller forkie comes around the other side of the tree with his tail between his legs. The big boys let him hang around but wouldn't let him get too close. After a few more minutes 3 more doe and 4 more fawns come charging in to the herd and at one point one of the younger does got a little too close to an older one and they stood up on their hind legs and boxed a quick round. We watched these deer for over an hour and they eventually fed away from us. They were always well out of range.

What a cool morning. Sure am glad I didn't roll over and turn the alarm off like I was tempted to do.

The bucks are starting to move!

MY daughter missed again last night over the back. the bucks are starting to move now. it was out of the ? to stalk closer to many eyeballs but i think gatorfan might of shit his pants he was farting all morning. wind was strong probably did dillut his smell i sat up wind thank god. it was a sight to see. i told him in this area they just eat &eat and that's what they did. deer just kept filtering in . nice boxing match to i put my money on the fat one 58yrds as they boxed. we were hoping the big buck would just eat his way closer never did. i told gatorfan to let a big fart out maybe it would piss the big guy off enogh to come closer. the little buck did sniff some cooter maybe there willbe an early rut this year? i'm going to my daughters spot see if i can get a shot on her buck she went shopping with her momma. Gatorfan bought me a new camera early xmas he wants to see some pic of the deer i've been seeingwhen he's not there. never owned one was fucking with it today so i think i can do it. i can spend 2 grand on a scope 15 hundy for each bow but can't afford a camera oh well thanks fucker. let's see now if the deer will pose for me might make some of these guys piss thier pants jim you'll have to help putting them on you know i don't like to show anything but the deer. you'll be dreaming for a week now nothing but deer at night. I gotta work the next few days so maybe evenings will be it for me but get your asses out there i think it will be really good the next few days morn and eve's good luck to all. did you guys see the pic of that chick on the fishing sight holding a fish naked. would be better if the fish wasn't in the pic but good curves anyway.

saw these 2 knuckleheads on the way in...6 total, no bucks. Beautiful evening, a bit of swirling wind, clouds covering the peak. 45 degrees when I started my walkabout, 43 when I left, a few raindrops on the windshield.
