Jim,
What's up with the body shot??? At 130 yards you should be putting it through the eyeballs... Nice shot!!!

I have a savage heavy barrel with a sweet 16 scope. Very nice to shoot , just cant see any dust kick up at 100 yards. Good thing its dead on...

Hmm. I've got the heavy barrel model also (left handed) with the sweet 17 scope and I can't get it to group worth a damn. Guess it's time to try different brands of ammo; I've been using the Hornady stuff but I have a few boxes of CCI still to try. Could just be me but somehow I don't think so.

Try shooting at a closer range like 25 yards then move to 50 and so on. You might want to either rent or but a good shooting mount. One that holds the rifle and all you have to do is pull the trigger.Hope thant helps....

Model 93R17-GLV Left-hand (Right hand model shown)
Don't understand why the stock would be a problem but I guess it wouldn't hurt to take it apart and be sure everything is kosher.
