| Good weekend to not be home! 11-15-08
First off let me say thanks to Saluki and all the others whom called or text me regarding the fires and asked if I needed help! Can't say it enough how friends can make me smile! All was well at home, though my sons and daughter and mother -in- law felt like they were in it. I on the other hand was out of town hunting Quail with my buddy ken and his wife and dog koda and my lovely wife and best friend Duelly. Did'nt even know about the fires in yorba linda and brea till late sat night. after all the rfires had past our house. Good thing cuzz I was to far away to do anything anyways! Sat started out with my wife and I being caught in the fire at sylmar. We were turned around by hwy patrol and caught in the mass evacuation! We were able to get out and over the hwy 2 to the 14 and up to tha sierras. We had a very slow sat but managed 1 bird! saw a few others just wasn't ment to be! Great night and found a good covey sun am and managed 5 birds. Found out about the fires at home and high tailed it home to find everyone good and the house smells like smoke! We had a great trip and I can't wait to go agian in a week or 2!
