making an avatar

well while im at it I will show how to make an avatar

if you have a full sized image in the gallery that you want as an avatar you can skip to step 7 but, make sure to right click on the thumbnail image not the full size image.

if you are starting from scratch and you only want to upload an avatar and not a full size image you can use photoshop or whatever to size it, I will explain using photoshop.

1- open the image

2- if it is already the way you want it as far as brightness/contrast color balance composition...dont worry about this because your pictures suck anyways.

3- go file-save for web.

this will open a new window

now click the "image size tab to the right

4- for bloodydecks the size limit is 200x200 pixels so whatever your longest side is (is the picture horizontal or vertical?) make the longest side 200 pixels.

then hit apply.

5- click "save" give it a name and click save and there it is, now you need to get it on BD

6- upload your avatar into your gallery.

7- once it is in the gallery, right click on thefull sized avatar image and select "properties"

8- a new window comes up now, copy the URL

9- go to "user CP" in the main bar of the forum

10- select "edit avatar"

11- now a bunch of gay avatars are there but you dont want those but you do,

12- where it says "enter avatar URL" delete the existing crap (http:www)

13- now paste in the URL you copied from your gallery and save changes
