7" bait in da works

Hello gang playing around with some clay again and made a new 7" bait. This guy is full of scales and I thinned out his tail a bit. The flat part of the bait is the top but I think he looks better flipped upside down. I am going to try him both ways once I get him poured. Stay tuned in for the finished pours. Let me know what ya think of the new bait and shoot me some names to call him. Till next time gang.

Thanks Mikey. Yeah grabbed the last box of clay and it had enough to finish one more. I added the details this evening and it will be ready for the mold box in the next couple of days. My lovely wife just bought me ten new gallons of plastic along with some new powders and colors. Man I am going to have a field day pouring my ass off with the new shipment of materials. Your going to see a lot of new colors that have not yet been seen on the market. Hear is one sample of a color that I am talking about. I poured all four of these baits in a clear belly, blue and black glider, Center is white pearl, and the top is blue pearl. I think this color is going to get bit. I am getting closer to making a color chart and getting a recipe book going in order to remember what materials I used in order to duplicate them in the future. I got a few tackle stores interested in my baits and hope it works out in order for me to start selling some of my baits. I am still working on trying to get me 8" trout working right but once he is swimming right. It's game on. I am hoping that the Freshwater anglers are going to tear up some LMB on them. I really think you have a shallow water winner there Frank!
Please keep us up to date on it's progression.

How would you planning on rigging it?
If you flatten the nose a 3/4 - 1oz long shank bullet head would work.

Would love to play with a 9 or 10 inch version of that one.

Josh I taught the 8 inch bait I made was big. But it looks like you freshwater anglers want bigger and bigger baits. I am more of a saltwater guy and use more of the smaller baits like 5 to 7 inches. I will see if I can come up with a larger bait in the next week or so. Still working on a few to get them to swim right. But once there dialed in they will catch fish. Trying to keep a positive attitude cause sometime fustration set in when the testing of the baits is going on ,and everything goes to hell in a hand basket. What the hell does this mean? Hell in a hand basket. My buddy say it all of the time.Till next time.
