pretty cool none the least.
Just, like Spicolli, too cool for school.

Kevlar is what they make bullet proof vests from, and the lures finished with it that I have used hold up really well, even when banged off the rocks with a bad cast.

I like the big, sturdy line tie, and hook eyes--they look like they will never pull out.

Great post.

I've only recently started up so I don't have a website or any product out there yet. Hopefully in a few months though. Sorry.
I'll be here almost everyday with pics on progress etc.

Those look great man! Keep up the good work and keep us posted on the progress. Can't wait to see what a maurader would look like in an epoxied carbon fiber color. Sick.

Check out the links below. They're very popular trolling lures for wahoo over here and in the Bahamas. The only problem is that they're usually made out of thin plastic with foam inside and after a few good hits from big wahoo they start to fall apart. I'd be willing to bet that the carbon fiber would hold up and last way longer.

No I wasn;t trying to imply that but I thought it was funny...it will not be an on going joke any time I see anything about those lures...

Hey Chris, I checked both the links and those are doable but I never copy commercial lures. Something close but not exact. The stuff I'm making has 2 layers of Carbon on the surface but is backed with 3 more layers of Kevlar/Carbon 50/50 hybrid so they should (in theory) last a long time. When I get this thing up and running I'll be able to supply lures at really affordable prices. 2010 January.

Sounds good Mickey. Let me know if you need a tester. I'll be fishing some wahoo tournaments in the Bahamas around that time of year.

Chris, it would be an honor for me. I'll keep you up to speed on developments but you will get something to try and you'll have them in time.
