New 2 piece topwater bait.

Well A while back I went to lake castaic and saw these striper baits that were supposed to be "the shit" at least thats what the kid at the tackle shop told me. But the shit was it was $25 for some tiny ass lure. and the paint job was shitty, dont get me wrong the thing was a hot item i saw 3 sold while i was there but still lake fishing is once in a great while for me.

Ok here are the spec. comparisons.
Theirs: Balsa wood very light, Chipped easily not very durable 5-10lb test needed to cast used more as a trolling lure. Constructed with latch screws for eye rings, shitty paint job of a trout that rubbed off due to no epoxy or clear coat and with a fishtrap tail very tiny sized one at that. About 2-3 oz total weight.

Mine: Made out of Plastic, very durable will take a beating if dropped can cast with 5-20lb test easily can use as a casting bait for popping or slow trolling, constructed with all Spro Swivels (130lb hold, Small) and held together with a 125lb spro slit ring, better paint job epoxy coated to hold and resist the wear and tear of the saltwater, instead of painted eyes put some wiggle eyes 2 owner treble hooks and finished off with a Nice fat Big Hammer tail. Tested it out in the tub works just fine floats perfectly alot of side to side action Cant wait to use it on a paddy offshore.

This is one pattern. Im going to make a few more a small dorado, Sardine, and mack pattern. Honest opinions dont hold back..

Nice One

Nice Bait....

Love to see the homies! Looks like a AC/Slammer, meaning the mixture of a AC Plug, and a MS Slammer. Very effective top water baits in their own right. Should work as planned!

you can use a press to drill a shallow hole the diameter of the eye so the eyes will fit into the lure.

funny you had this. i have a couple i need to paint and ship out. check your pm.

Yea I dont have a drill press and thought about using a couple of other methods but this one is for me if i get rid of a few I will apply more effort and attention to them this was a test model lol. I was just happy the damn thing worked and floated. very little sink less then 3cm below water

it floats on top of the water i meant MM not Cm the only part below water is the lip of the bait thats it. the rest is floating above water. Its not much if anything I have a couple made some are half way in the water this one here is just the lip and the tail that are below the middle portion is above water. They vary on how you want it to work i can adjust all the weights. And its top water because it floats and doesnt sink.
