Experimental Colors on my jig's!

These colors didnt turn out like I wanted them to, but they look decent enough that they might just do the job! The color alomast looks gold but they are kind of like avacoado green and gold mixed in! and then there's 2 of my dodo wanna-be's! The yellow was to gold and not yellow enough!
I couldnt get turqiose blue or green to come out in my mixing and the blue is kind of to blue!
Here they are!

Its a coin toss if theyre hungry they will eat anything that moves im sure. The yellows are going to blend in with the kelp if you are tossing at it, did you pre mix them in a cup or something? Use a tooth pick and a drop of each color you plan on mixing blend it on a glass then smear it on cardboard that should be your final color then just do a 50/50 in a bigger container if that is the winner. Other wise when you spray it just lay down your lights first always your whites, yellows, oranges, reds, ect..Think of a color wheel it makes it much simpler that way also use a piece of tracing paper trace the body shape on to the paper TOP FACE side only on the tracing paper draw the Circles or dots you plan on painting on the Dorado pattern for example, once you complete it and are happy with the result get a thin piece of card board like that of a gift box and again trace out the shape and punch holes in the tracing paper above the stencil that way its a consistent pattern and you get nice evenly shaped circles with little if any over spray other then that they are still really clean.

Thanks Jesse! I have a mask made for lure making that I can make the holes and spray them! I was kind of just screwin around to see what I could come up with! But I will deffinatly use your mixing method, I dumped some good paint today because I wasnt happy with the color! These lures are without eyes and a epoxy gloss coat, so no shine!
I can still paint over these and change them if I want to, not sure yet If Im going to give them a bath or not?

You know when you have a great paint job when you get a shine look without the top coat of finish on it. The way I blend my colors before and during the spray they look shiny and almost like stickers. I use the same method of painting i did as though I was tattooing which is a huge help for me in my color blending with airbrush paint. Some of the best paint jobs are 3 shades of one color x's 3 colors or so.. For instance I use a flourYellow first color the entire Lure with that then with a Light Yellow on top of that only half way up on top and less then that from bottom to top, followed by a Dark yellow and half way up the last ones i layered on. Then a Lime green, green and with out cleaning the brush a turquoise to get a crazy colored green presprayed on something of course to make sure its all good. Thats the top or spine of the lure.
