How come they're not in my boat?
I went out for 9 hours and had only 5 aku and ahi to show for it. Oh well. I saw the weigh in for charters... not the Maui Jim tournament guys... and it was impressive. Lots of t and r's and the Dojo had 2 Ahi over 145 when I was there. I had to leave so I didn't get to see the rest of the fleet.
Well the fish are here. I had a 300+ at leader on live bait. But I had to dump the leader after it ran out and then turned and stabbed my poor boat. It went under and through the props and there went my smoked marlin.

All I can say is that the Avet 80 handled wonderfully.
Well next time i'll be prepared and have a veteran partner to maneuver the boat so that it won't happen again. Oh and I need a bigger gaff. I don't think my Ono gaff would hold enough meat.
