I don't have any experience with either of the blanks you are asking about, but...

Wind-on roller guides are not as big as the Big foot guides. They are designed to give additional clearance for using wind-on leaders. The feet on the wind-on guides are smaller so that they "sit" better on thinner blanks. I have them on 80# graphite blanks and they work great.

Hope this helps.

Thanx for the feedback Chuck & Hank. Hank I might just give you a buzz on those blanks after I do a little more research. Which guides...size, tip, foregrip etc.... I like the picture with the rod bend on the 450lbs Marlin Hank. Is that rod used for trolling or baiting or both......Any tips on blank selection greatly appreciated....

Seeker is a good outfit that makes quality sticks and blanks and has an excellent reputation for service. I ran many of their rods on my charterboat down in Cabo and had zero issues with them. Randy from Seeker used to come down and fish with us and we had a seven ono and a bunch of mahi's and some ahi's day right in the middle of a tropical depression. That made for a short trip, but the fishing was great!

No question on the AFTCO guides. Any and all are exceptional and Chuck is dead on on his appraisal of the ones he uses.
