Anyone use the Roddy Hays hooks on regular trolling lures? I got one on the Ruckas' Raiser I was fortunate enough to receive and the hook looks MEAN. So I was thinking about getting some more and changing out the hooks on some of my other trolling lures...Looks like they got em in sizes 7/0 - 14/0

Legend Lures - Hays Hooks

CP,
Good to hear the weather finally calmed down enough to get out and wet a line. Good job on making something out of nothing.

Thanks for the report!

Jonesy,
Hays hooks are a favorite among top crews all over the world, including Capt James on the Wound Up, winner of the 2009 World Cup.

Designed by Roddy Hays and hand made, they are the best stainless steel J-hooks on the market. We have used them extensively down in Baja because of their hypodermic needle like points, and unmatched strength.

Hays Hooks come in 7/0, 8/0, 9/0, 10/0, 11/0, 12/0 and 14/0 sizes. They tend to run fairly large compared to other hooks (Mustads, etc) with the 14/0 being a true monster... Perfect for "gaffing" big fish in the mouth.

Both Hays Hooks and Hays Handles are available through our online store.
