"It" being defined as the largest of the tournament and would also have the dubious honor of the largest ever caught in the history of the tournament.

heard all sorts of colors were used, but what was the majority caught with? icey blue or something... i ran nearly ever color of blue they have, but for some reason, i noticed that the skirts would get what looked like "water logged" or turn opaque... what's up with that BS... maybe another post... don't mean to take this one over... just my thoughts...

People I talked to caught on kind different colors but seems like the common was blue/salmon.
congrats to everyone who fished in the tourney this weekend!!!

Congratulations to all the folks who competed in Ahi Fever. Sounds like everyone had a great time and the ahi were right on time to make for an awesome tournament. Nice going Lane, can I borrow $5,000?

Had a big one on Sunday, emptied the reel (Penn 80), tried to hand line, no love. Finally broke off. Very very sad. Don't think it could of been a marlin, never saw it jump.

Pat good going on the tourney fish! We got a 142 on Sat and a 190 on Sun, but not big enough in this years toad-a-thon! where did you get the attachment with the results from? Keep a tight line!

Jeff,
Thanks. WBFC web site (google ahi fever 2009) upper left hand corner of the page. Good going on your fish, yep there were certainly plenty of gorillas/cows/toads/big fish, interesting very consistent between the 2 days as far as comparable weights for the top 8 finishers. What a tremendous fishery!
Pat
