Fishing Report Kaneohe 5/15

Not much of a report either. Kind of confused as to what to do today. Started on the inside from Moku Manu all the way to Makapuu then skipped across the channel and ended up at Ilio point then headed out to the 1000 and followed it back to Kaneohe. Just a few akus to show for our effort. Oh well, at least it was calm.

Hey mate... i know what you mean, i headed out to U Buoy first thing... was there at 0515! Only to find another small boat, no nav lights, and one person on board jigging... woah... didn't pick up any thing on the sounder at U buoy whatsoever... headed towards LL following the 500fathom... ran across some false killer whale pods... found a nice current line, but no rubbish... hit LL only to find a parking lot... threw everything in the water.. big lures, small lures, even clark spoons... nothing, until i put live bait in the water... lost two good size mahi.. then finally landed one 15lb and 10lb mahi.. they seem to like that... headed to X buoy... parking lot again... ran across a couple nice bird piles... definately mahi and aku piles... only one otadu to show for all of those.... got to x, nothing on any lure what so ever... then ran live bait... birds seem to like em.. haha... no fish though... small shibi down to about 150feet deep... ran a planer with clark spoon...picked up a 10lb shibi... then headed home... came across a net, alot of small fish on it, but nothing below... more bird piles on the way home on the 500, no joy... great day for a boat ride...
