| Where are the fish Name: Steve Age: 53 Boat: 2670 Glacierbay Island: Oahu Days Available: Whenever I have the time References: I support the local GAS stations Experience: OCEAN FISHING 3 years Drink/Smoke: BUD LIGHT Contact info: Steve@PacificSportEvents.com I spend alot of money on gas for the boat. Not much as far as a return in fish to date. Yesterday 7 June, I started at 4:45am (Ke'ehi) to the BO. 1 strike and a run of about 10 seconds and then gone.... Then 10 miles west of BO, found birds (couldn't get anything to bite) turned to the north to CO, back into the R FAD. Down the coast and to Ke'ehi... I ran different speeds, different lures, still nothing. Some day I will get this fishing stuff down.... |

Is this a good place to find someone willing to teach someone the ropes of fishing Hawaii, that is not from around here? Basically, I am trying to find experience on these boats and this type of fishing, to further educate myself for the future, in order to attain some sort of fishing job, whether it be a professional Deckhand, tournament runner, or more important to myself, Captain of my own fishing Charter. I will save great details as to not ruin this thread, but I'm talking just getting away for a couple months at a time, take in as much as I can, and eventually make it on my own. I am already thinking of taking some advice and getting to Hawaii and seeing how it goes and what my options are, but I would love to know if there are people out there that will take in this type of request. I wouldn't be 'asking' to live with anyone, etc. but I WILL be there 30 min early, I WILL be that boat bitch when we get back to the dock to clean up the rig, and I WILL be catching the bait (if need be/or taught). Life is too short and I think I've wasted enough of it already being 26 years old and still dreaming of this lifestyle. I live to fish....and I wan't to fish to live. (if this post ruins this thread, please delete it).
Thanks for listening.
