Papa's lure heads are a must on my boat... a buddy of mine introduced me to Clarence's lures a while back... super great weight to them and they work... !

Here's a couple i made up... trying to think out of the box on one of them....

i'm a big fan of the crippled look, you guys have some nice lure set ups!!!
i'm surprised alot of the hawaii guys have shown lures and pics, alot of the guys i know hide their lures before they go out and stow them prior to coming back, you ask them what lures they run and they tell you "secret". this is how i like the hawaii board to run, people showing what works for them and hooking eachother up.

I know exactly what you mean.. i've been all over this island fishing and when i see someone with nice fish... ya know... i said good job, whathave you.... then i ask, where'd you catch them at... i get the same answer nearly all the time... "in the water"... i'm like... oh sweet... So you're saying there's a chance!!!!!!! Whatever.. i'll give someone the GPS coords' for a fish net if i find one... AND, i even have my commercial fishing permit, so i drop fish off at the market too... so, i don't understand it... I've fished with the commercial VA Beach crew one rock fishing season on a 47' Graves Custom... they have embeded channels on VHF and they all share info... when they can put their customers on fish... they all are a tight nit group... my buddy was going to ship his boat out here... i told him, don't even bother... after being here for 5 years... it's a dog eat dog world on the water out here bro....

honestly, opelu and akule are great baits... and those too, i have a hard time with people telling me where to catch those buggers.... oh well... i'll find em all... hahaha

aussie lure

This one is a hand made 16" aussie lure - kind of harmonica-shaped, thin and long head and triple skirts on it - brought up this 400 lbs blue a couple of hundred yards off the barge...on the long corner. We got it w/ a couple of Bd'er from CA.

I agree w/ should all communicate w/each other re fish - maybe a weekend Oahu report so by the next weekend we all have the info?

tight lines,
