Thanks guys, just got my computer back on line, was down for acouple weeks
now I can check back in with the BD gang.
The kahalas and ehu I got right off the ledge in 600ft of water, the water has to be right nice and flat for bottom over hear.

I have not been out in 2 weeks and the fishing is dead...DEAD over here, don't know why. Tuna down south but you gotta fight the crowds of charter boats.
CaptJim is gone for 3 weeks so its hard to find a fishing buddy during the week.
Next Friday I'm gonna go if even alone!!!

Pete, those are ehu, cousin to the opaka, cruise along the fifty and find the nice shear drop offs to about 100 fathoms and drop some bait on drooper rigs.
Kona has tons of nice calm days for that, you will be surprised what you will
come up with.

How you grind da Kahala? Smoke em (my favorite)? Hibachi?
Yeah, Konas kinda fished out as far as redfish go, choke Kahala, but never had much luck with the good stuff, i.e. Ehu, Paka, Onaga, Kalekale, etc. Can find em, but its so calm that there pretty fished out for like my whole life already... Now wahanui are wideopen
Just gotta get one really good sounder and cruise around real slow, gets kinda boring unless you really know how to find them (I don't).
