Best operation for Spearfish
As the title says - who is the best operation in Kona to book with if I am looking for Spearfish. Thank you in advance.

Had a great time with Capt Russ on Lepika Sportfishing if you want to look him up, got spearfish and marlin a few weeks ago

Anyone. Spearfish are not plentiful here but if you are at the right place at the right time it'll hit. Any good charter will hook'em. Talk story with any of the captains on the charter post at the top. They are all good.

Yes, I would agree...You can't beat Russ Nitta on the Lepika. He has special rigging just for spearfish. I fished with him last year and we got some big ahi around 140lbs and a spearfish. He's also one of the most inexpensive charters in Kona. For the price of most guys 1/2 days you can get a full day. You might want to call him but I think they are just getting into the peak of spearfish season.

And Russ has no problem staying out a little late...damn, I am already itching to go back to Kona!!!!!

I have to pop my vote for Russ too.......he put me into a spearfish two months ago...........hard worker, and fun to fish with too!
