Crowley 1st day

Today was slow, at least for us two. There are some fish being caught in the north arm. Some of the locals are getting some big fish up there, pulling streamers.

We were on the water twice today.
First time was early to Mcgee with Bob and his boat. They kicked my butt on the fish. Wind came up early. we got off the water.

THEN - my Thomas & Thomas rods were delivered to our cabin, the wind died down and we loaded up the pontoon and tube and headed back out.


We fished the Upper Owens area. 14" water, the fly of the day for me was the B.F.H. #10!!!
We had no clue that our special fly would work here at Crowley. I only had 2 in my flybox, Bruce was a doll and tied some more up for me tonight!
I was on more than the other fishermen. Some moved in to poach my area.

Type 3 line. lots of weeds - find the right channel, you will find the fish.
I loaded a picture on our sit- I need sleep -
more to come tomorrow.
There is no way that I could do this without Bruce. He has been wonderful.
I am keeping up with him on the water today.
