Made the gentlemen's run(as Duane would say) fished from 9am-2pm. Spent most of the morning just soaking, cruising around, chompin on snacks, and watching the nature show. I saw lot's of fry and lot's of fish, but only a few clues of the right kind. Eventually I had observed long enough and went into action. I had a couple bass on inventory who had given up their locations earlier. I tied on the Cantgetright Craw.

I went back to where I had spotted a bass sunning earlier and went into major stealth mode. Sometimes it pays to get out of your tube. After only 3 cast,...TAP!

Clams on the half shell, and roller skates...roller skates

Then I went into some thick plants that I saw a nice boil in sometime earlier. TAP! Stree-rike one. TAP! Hook up! There are many things in the recreational fishing world that are fun, but having a 9' flyrod bendo in one hand and your line in the other while a big green bass is tailwalking and thrashing all over the place is hard to beat.

21" must have California halibut in his blood.

For you are the magnet,... I am steel.
