Best Waders? Need your advice

I need new waders - have been using the rubber ones for years (and managed to put gigantic holes in 3 pairs from pungi stick type branches). Worked well, but I'm over rubber waders.

What I will use them for: fishing in Eastern Oregon (spring/summer) where the air is hot and the water is cold...but not that cold compared to the air. Puncture resistance is a plus as I tend to crash through bushes occasionally.

I'm not really price sensitive, but don't want to shell out 400 bucks for a pair unless it is substantially more leak proof and puncture resistant than a $200 pair.

What do you suggest?

Simms are top notch waders as are Dan Bailey waders. The breathables are the best if you are planning on hiking a lot and if the temp is warm/hot. They are not as hole resistant and you need to make sure you buy the best ones they make. Both Simms and Dan Baileys have lifetime guarantees.

I've had Hodgemans and Cabelas waders and they work okay for light fishing, but they don't stand up to abuse to well. I really like Simms and for a few more bucks, you really get a good product that can take a beating.

I have the Simms G4 Pro waders and love them. They are Goretex so they keep you dry but are breathable. Any problems with Simms waders you can send them back and they will repair them. If the seams leak at any time, they will send you a new pair. Good product, good customer service. They are a little more than others but will last twice as long.

Simms new G3s have moved the 5 layer back up the to the butt and hips again. Best wader for 400 bucks. Great customer service. I do get leaks once an awhile but I fish over 200 days a year in them.

Bought my wife some Simms G4s for Xmas. Her Orvis breathable dries were leaking. I am envious. I'm still in the cheapo Orvis (paid $70), but they're still working. The G4s will be my replacements.

I've got the Simms G3 Guide convertables and they're awesome. The portion above the belt rolls down into a self-contained "pouch" that zips up, turning them into "suspender pants" for creek fishing. They're warm in the Winter and cool in the Summer. $379
