Lost a lot of flies today. Thick trees and flyrods don't mix well. This fly was the creek bass KILLER until I stuck it in a tree 20' up.
Caught over 20 bass on the lure today, was PO'd when I had to break it off.
Green Sun-diddly-unfish.
The coolest species of fish I know.
Move over Rover, and let the Tomaso Jetty Fly take over...
Biggest bass of the day.
I caught 4 carp and a nice bass, by putting a piece of cotton face scrubber disk on a bare hook, and throwing some bread hunks in the water.
Bluegill on trout flies is the most prodcutive fishing I have ever done. They have no defense against a small bug-like fly. Even after watching 20 of their comrads get lifted out of the water and tossed back in, they still fight over the fly on the next cast. I caught 50 something bluegills, 23 bass, 13 green sunfish, and 4 carp in about 7 hours of fishing. |
