Missoula Montana gives it up.... Again

Just got back from an epic day on the middle section of Rock Creek...... If you like Dry fly fishing..... More hatches at one time than I have ever seen.
We are in the middle of the big stones including Salmon flys and Goldens. Add in PMD's, Caddis, Green Drakes, Yellow Sallies and some Beetles thrown in for good measure this was one amazing day and we still have a week to go. The count today was in the triple digits for us.

Granted, the Creek does not yield the toads but I got some of the biggest fish the creek has given up this year including Browns, Cuts, Bows, Cutbows and just for the heck of it a Beautiful Bull Trout all on dries.

Flows are still high but dropping rapidly and if you are used to throwing bugs a few inches off the banks non stop then this is just a bit of Eden on Earth.

Don't think I'm going to make it up there this year because of fuel prices. That hurts.
