Stripers at DVL

Anybody have any advice for trolling for stripers at DVL? I got some new downriggers but ended up losing 2 new huddlestons last weekend. So far, no joy on any nice stripers. Any advice??????

Brent, their pretty much getting them around the launch area, the coves/points to the north. Mostly on swimbaits (trout). Maybe try flylining a chove just cause.

I would try a Pionter in a shad pattern or a rattle trap. try 1.8 mph and if they are on top use Zara spooks in either largemouth or shad pattern. good luck let us know how it went

If the ecosystem was planned properly with appropriate cover for each prey species, including sunken trees, grassbeds, and rocky spots, the stripers should work out ok at DVL and not screw up the fishery.
