Finally got my double digit !!!!!!!

After several years of heartbreak, lost a couple to rocks and tules, and some that were close to 10# but not quite, Friday 2.15.08 was to be my day !!!!!!

This beauty went 10.1# on my digital scale and 10.3 on my buddies digital. Hooked her on a #5 Hudd slow-rolling the bottom in less than 10' of water.

Mucho congrats Joe! I know you've been putting in the time on this and have been working with a master to getter done. Sometimes it happens quickly for the angler; sometimes it takes a lot of effort as in your case. The extra effort just makes that fish more memorable and now more will come your way. Soak it up, enjoy this as you deserve it and please, remove that dink from your Avatar.

P.S. Looks like it was a beautiful, flat calm day for you :

P.S.S. Damn good photographer you have there

Sick!
Congrats. I'm still looking for one.
Glad you had a scale. By some accounts that thing would go 20lbs on the "thumb and digit scale"

Well done.

Great Job Grump... I got two double digits when I was 16 and 17 yrs old, 14.5 and 11.3
It's been 11 years and haven't done it again dammit.

Now IS definatly the time though. I know a kid who's got a few at Pud. recently.

But that's one beautiful fish you got there.

I'm just trying to get one over 6 this season.

Especially at Irvine!
