Early you might even be able to get them to hit top water along the rip rap by the dam. As the sun goes up up I would change over to a carolina rig or a drop shot. A sinko would be a good bet, I don't fish them much but there is not doubt they produce. I would start off 1-5 ft. and as the sun rises move to submerged points 10-15. When the sun gets well over head, persaonally I would move to the dock, trailor the boat and find the nearest bar. Have a blast, make sure you post with some pics.

UHHHH....... I just looked at your boat. Doug has a great point. I don't see you doing anything but anchoring and bubba fishing all day. If you really want to go to Diamond that bad I'll let you borrow my buddies boat if we can grap yours and head to 9 mile. J/K, But really launch out of LJ and get some chickens.

3"-5" blue, or watermelon sinkos, they have them at the marina if you dont already have some. Wcky worm it or nose hook it with a small splitshot about 12" up. Head to the East Dam. GO LIGHT....3 guys fishing...2with 4lbs 1with 6lbs.....same brand line all rigged the same. 2 to 1 for the 4lbers. Watch you line....if they are feeling sleepy they will take syphon suck it and you wont feel a thing before seeing your line going against the wind. Good Luck....Ill try to talk the boss into an early day of work and hittin it in the afternoon. TAKE A CAMERA....let us know how ya do

they say the rock quarry area around the west dam and rawson's cove produces some nice bass. I was out there fishing for trout on sat, 07/14/07 and saw a lot of nice bass being taken around the coves just before the saddle dam. Might wanna pick up a map at the marina. They are $12 i think if you don't have one already. Early morning top water stuff around the atenuator would be good if you see some bass busting any shad there. the shad have been thining out. I spoke to the game warden and he was saying the shad are running the north shore. So you might wanna start by running up along the coves off the north side while working your way to the dam. I've never fished for bass there though. Just trout and the big cats. Have fun. post some pics and let us know how you do.

I can say get there early to a spot south east or west of the lake shore for bass, pretty much colors dark worms, blue and silver flotters thats the best if anything when you go to the store just ask whats been getting them to bite I caught plenty of share out there. But if you get a chance hit up skinner also DVL just you can catch some -DOGS- out there.....
GOODLUCK!!!!

I got the same boat and have a yearly pass. Of course I just test my electronics so they work on the ocean chasing longfin, yellows, ect..... It's a big lake you won't have any problems. I got a 150 on mine and open it up for awhile when I get out of sight of people. I say do it.
