Ok I know this has been discussed and beaten to death in other places, But I just don't get it.

I read pickleboys thread on SARL and the "Trophy" fish being planted... then I read this in the story;

More big fish will be stocked for these four days than any time this year. This is your

Lassen Trout Farm has and there is a good chance a new state record could be
broken at either Santa Ana River Lakes or Corona Lake.

Ok to me this is Bullshit... your telling me that fish grown to 27-28#'s in Lassen and trucked down to a mudhole in the OC to be caught by some trailor trash Yahoo with a chunk of playdoh on a zebco barbie rod.. can claim a state record???

What if I caught a schoolie Yellow Fin Tuna then put it in a pen lets say off the Nados cause I won the lottery and could afford it.. had my fishy fed daily for a couple years.. waited til it was nice and fat.. 400#'s then thru a Dine in there and landed it.. I could claim the first 400# Yellow Fin Tuna....

Fuck no would be the answer ....

Yeah Stan it cracks me up as well. I don't understand why a FISHERMAN would sit there and wait for them to put the fishies in the pond in the first place. I mean they can't fucking go too far, so it takes a little knowledge to find and catch the little critteres. stan there has been much debate on this and marley is probably the only guy on theis site that has the memory to give you the straight answer but in short they do have a speacail category for " HATCHERY RAISED" fish and the record that come out of "pay 2 play lakes i will do some reasearch and ATTEMPT 2 you the answers
