Re: Need Info on Big Bear Lake

Do a search on BD for Big Bear, you'll get some good info. There are some fish killa freshies on here.

Re: Need Info on Big Bear Lake

I rent boats at Pine Knott Landing when we go.

See my previous Big Bear reports for how we fish it and have great results.

Any questions, feel free to ask.

Re: Need Info on Big Bear Lake

Best Western is close to Pine Knott landing and close to an excellent restaraunt "Captains Quarters"

Re: Need Info on Big Bear Lake

check out the website bigbearcoolcabins.com I have used them many times in the past. They are close to the lake. I was there last weekend and a couple weekends before that. You can fish right next to the dam in the litte coves there. Caught 5 good sized trout next to the damn using powerbait. My budie caught some on worms too.

Re: Need Info on Big Bear Lake

Make sure you bring some 1 & 2 oz sinkers, but them on above a swivel then tie a 6 ft. leader to the trolling lure. This will keep you jig down where the fish are. Slow troll the perimeter of the lake just outside the bouys and you'll do fine. Small black and white Rapala or Black and white needle fish, small gold kastmaster should work too. Bring a cooler, for the boat it's gonna be a hot one!!! Have fun, take pictures and give us a great post when ya get back
