Wait, I thought trout season opened in April???? You can call me a jackass if you want, but I don't call truckloads of trout dumped into a lake with their fins worn off and cloudy eyeballs "trout season".

Thats what this thread is all about. peace
Trout contest I'm in. Ideas on rules? Lets be a little more creative than "Big Fish".

I like it Surf Doc . Most impressive set up so far . Looks like you keep her in great condition . With the tuna still biting , is that rod gonna see any action ?

You could go complete old school and fish with some velveta as well . That is all I used when growing up . I had an old timer that has been fishing Irvine Lake since 1950 tell me to throw all my lures away and get some marshmallows from the 99 cent store . He is probably right .

lololololololololol.....Nice. The old school pic reminded me of a rod I have. Somewhere along the lines of what the "Old School Dude" posted. Nice set up by the way. Just kidding

Well what are your ideas? It's hard to classify anything other than length of fish with a proper scale in the background. Weight scales are out because to much bullshit and whining to deal with. What are the ideas?

No prob. Then don't participate. But I think thats called a thread jack or whatever name is used. Always some negative Ned in the crowd. I'll lone you my gas powered ice digging thingy! I'll also let you borrow my cramp ons and snow shoes. Or you could wait till April and fish "Your Trout Season." Let me know how I can help.

Im all in for it....Lets start tossing the ideas out and keep them simple and few. I beleive that would be the eaiset for all to work with. First up...1 catagory for both natural and stocked fish, or do we seperate them or only go with one?

We have done unofficial BD throwdowns at the Vine in years past . Biggest fish wins . Probably will be an OFFICIAL January thing this year , with swag and all. Work in progress . All are welcome . Stay tuned for a thread when a date is nailed down .
