WOW! Lake El Salto Mexico

Spent 5 days 4 nights at the Anglers Inn Lake El Salto. Fished afternoon half day the first day and am half day the last day for a total of 4 days of amazing bass fishing. We averaged 43 fish each per day with the majority being in the 5-6 pound range. It seemed that at least 10 fish a day where 7-8 pound range. And my trip best was 10.2 pounds followed by 9.4. If you ever get the chance to fish this lake do it!

Thanks for the pictures and the report. I have always wanted to check out this lake someday. Sounds like a blast to me.
Questions.....You have a guide, do you have to have a guide and do you need a guide? How were the accommodations?

Curtis........

The boat Hanna...........

insane. might also want to check out insidesportfishing.com, there are two episodes (Pt 1&2) filmed at El Salto, you may even see some familiar water. I was linked to the insidesportfishing.com site watching the episode they filmed on the intrepid, which was also very cool to watch. There was Tommy on one episode doing MLPA awareness, and even an SWBA tournament.

The insidesportfishing.com site has a ton of great videos to watch, really comes in handy when your other favs are down.

btw, EL SALTO looks amazing. The word amazing gets used to often these days. Fucking high schools, my 10 yr old toyota truck is amazing, NO, ITS JUST A TRUCK.. anyways, monsters at El Salto ive seen the vids. What is (are) the main forage in the lake to get ALL the bass BIG.

Captain Curt, I fished out of the Anglers Inn. Anglers Inn is all inclusive and all of the services are top notch, guides, food, drinks, rooms......A+

If you had your own boat you could fish without a guide but the only way to fish the lake sans your own boat is with an outfit.

This is a most do if your into bass fishing, you could spend a lifetime in the states catching bass and shader all of your personal best in 4 days fishing Lake El Salto.
