| lake calaveras/ tri-city area
hey guys, since i work at night occaionaly i'll stop at lagoon on my way home. after trying not to get bit up, by mosquitos, that is, i headed home and stopped at calaveras about 3:45am. a short walk later i was at the dam area flippin a jig by the tules. i made it three quarters of the way down and got bit by an 8-9 pound hog!. it was so dark out i couldn't take a photo and couldn't wake a roomate up either. i got jig out (it came out under his eye!) and let that beast go. im so glad i had braid and that 1 1/8 oz jig. i dont know why but they actually had no fishing/hunting/camping signs on the fence, although they were small. oops! just wanted to say i am still jacked up and will never forget that beautiful fish.
