The tally for the end of day one. The first day of fishing was a success. After cleaning and icing the fish we cooked up dinner.

The day ended nicely.
All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better trip up north. Great company and good fishing made this an epic trip.

Wow that's impressive. I was at Tom's Place sunday and saw couple of guys cleaning Sacramento Perch. I'm thinking about taking my dad up there this week for perch and I have zero experience regarding it. Can you give me few pointers if you don't mind? Can I buy crappie jig and niblet at Turner's? thanks.

2lb test 1/32 crappie jigs tip with nibblets. Fish along the weed line and look for openings. Then cast in towards the opening and jig. Try different depths, the fish will come out from the weeds and attack the jigs. Good luck.

True, these fish are only found in several lakes and streams in CA.

Yes they are excellent. Taste very similar to a crappie or a bluegill.

The second day was nice, but towards the end of the first day it seems like I was out in the ocean.
