I have fished the lake on & off since the late 70's & believe it or not, not much has changed, there are many species of quality fish there & as far as sight fishing, I prefer it. My mother in law lives above one of the swim areas & you can see it is usually pretty thick with trout with a few BIG bass on there tail, I think the trout like the sand bottom as I have seen pretty large schools in every swim area, I understand the rules & I get it, although I to have been known to be a rule breaker once in a while & have had conversations with the lifeguards, they have always been pleasent. As far as the lake being like Lake Smellsopoor I can't disagree more! "Ballena" out!

Rules are rules they are in place for a good reason. I am sure if you stopped whining for just one min even you could figure it out.
Better yet you are right. The fishings sucks, the rules are
Unfair and not enforced properly. They don't know how or where to stock.
I hope everybody listens to you and fishes somewhere else. Ok I have to go now I have a "January Bass Contest" to win

gino the bass your opinion is not supported in your statement. comparing lmv to the cesspool of lake elsinore is retarded. lake elsinore has smelt like a rotting porta-potty for 20 years, and they have done very little to change that. lmv has a full-time biologist and staff to monitor the habitat of the lake. any rules that are changed are to benefit the habitat of the lake, not to ensure your happiness. and honestly i am pretty sure the rules of the lake have not change as much as you think they have.
by the way fishing with a beef hot dog is not permitted on lake mission viejo.

No, you're retarded! hahaha.

I think LMV is a great place to take the little ones fishing. I can almost guarantee my son fish all year (bass, crappie or trout) depending on the time of year.

BassDaddy, Are you using a beef dog or a pork keilbasa for bait to score the stringer in that avatar? And I assume you weren't fishing within the 15 foot rule .....
