LMV Trout Cronicles Episode 5:No Girls Allowed

Went yesterday after staying off the water for while. Was able to find some customers in shallow water and put a nice limit together. They weren’t looking for anything special just the usual lures in the popular colors. One of my informants said that there was about 45 fish brought in from the rental fleet. Seems like the fish are getting more active than they have been. Don’t know how much water temp has come down in the last few weeks but that’s probably helping. The fish I caught seemed to fight a lot harder than the ones I’ve been getting. One interesting observation is that all of the this years fish I have cleaned are all male. Last season they where all female.

I fished LMV late Sunday, it was kinda slow compared to previous trips but I did manage two trout & one bass - all released uhh... lost at the boat ( I guess you're not supposed to release trout there ) The one trout I kept a few weeks ago was a female & had nice pink meat, but still it just dosen't compare to salt water fish unless you're eating it with your bacon & eggs next to a campfire in the mountains. I guess they got a fresh batch today, I'll have to call the mother in law as she has a clear view of the swimming beach next to the fishing area. Good luck - Ballena out!

Wow a female. I guess I just don’t have a way with the ladies. I don’t care for trout eating much myself but my friend has been smoking them for me and they are pretty good. Beside I am addicted to fishing. The doctors say it’s genetic and there’s only one treatment.
