| the new phenix trout rods
I had a chance to pick up one of the new phenix trout rods the other night.
early christmas present to myself.
I dont know if you guys have had a chance to see these things but damn really nice the one I got is a flippin stick style design as the blank retracts down into the handle.
rated 2-8lb built on a fly rod blank it is sick.
picture window reelseat.
the designer Jeff is really amazing when it comes to finding new ways of doing things and better designs.
I wish I had that kind of vision.
anyways I havent had a chance to catch a fish on it yet but it feels amazing and I thought you guys should check it out.
gene.

Is it one of the Taiwanese imports, or was it wrapped here in the US?

I am not sure I know that jeff designs and wraps some rods here in cerritos and then sends designs to their factory for mass productions.
he still has the original phenix drying and wrapping machines in his garage he can build and dry 16 rods at a time.
He also had some new prototype blanks that were sick cobra blanks.
that guy is one hell of a artist.

I don't think that striper in Captain G's pic is 8+ pounds. Not hatin, just sayin.
