Phenix (SR80-2UL?) 8' UL, any reel you like with a good drag, Izor 2#XXX, and drop-shot a Berkeley Trout worm. When they're on the chew it's really a kick in the ass. The longer rod helps when fishing from shore, especially with the micro-jigs or other light lures. It's obscene how far you can heave a kastmaster with one of 'em.
