Corona Lake Trout

I am taking Friday off ,as a use it or lose it day off, and was thinking of fishing at Corona Lake for trout. Living in Temecula and working in Anaheim, I want to avoid Lake Irvine due to the 91 freeway. I am on it all too often and Friday's suck more than the usual suck.

Is there anything I need to know about catching trout at this lake? I would like to fish from shore but am not oppposed to getting a rowboat.

Tips? Suggestions?

Thanks

get there early and get a spot on the flats in between the boat ramp and the dam crawler 3' under a float and the usual dough baits on a slider. the mini jigs kill the bigger trout.

I would use a section of 2 pound flouro, some trout are very easily spooked by line.
