Crowley Perch on the chew

Don't have much time for a detailed report but the bite is on.

Hit Crowley last Tuesday and again this Tuesday afternoon for half days of fishing. Quite a few quality fish coming out.

Leighton springs and across from Green Banks is where we found the best bite.

Berkley 2" Grubs were the ticket. Don't mess with the crappie nibbles...don't need 'em to get bit.

A few pics

Those things are an absolute whore to filet....but should be awefully tasty in a taco!

peace,

Sweet! I am going there in three weeks. Fxxk the rainbow trout, I am going perch'n.
I took my son last year, and we all had a blast. We released all our fish last year, and many have told me they are tastey. This year it is K&G (Kill and Grill).
I did not catch any a big as your cousin's wife's fish--I am going to try the power grubs this year.
Nice, different report.

Nice, different report.

I will also be there in about 3 weeks. Looking forward to it.

I purchased a bunch of Charlie Brewers Slider Grubs. They are about 1 and 3/4 inches. I had originally picked them up for a local lake. I ended up making a tackle bow for Perch. So i guess i will be taking that tackle box as well. My son is also looking forward to using he Rocket Fishing Rod.

Is there a special time of day i should devote to this type of fishing? or can i make this an all day thing if i wish?

What should i look for as far as a spots to fish?

On my local lake i just walk around the lake till i find fish. But for the most part the bite was O.K. to Good when the sun was going down.

As you can tell i don't know much about these fish. Any tips you can give me to put my family on some fish would be great.

Ok now i will .
