I would think they would have a shuttle service of some type to get the shore line anglers closer too the fishing area.
look at it this way, its a reservoir and if they wanted oodles of riff raff fishing there from shore they would have planned it that way. Im sure you are a responsible guy, take your trash out with you and respect the water and regs. But how many times do you see trash left on shore from people that dont respect? Beer cans, nightcralwer containers, chovy bags, cig butts, cans of corn, you name it. If they dont respect the sand, they dont respect the water or the fish or regs.

Its better that shore access is limited. I cant tell you how many times ive seen people fishing lake mead from shore in there groups, seems like every one of them leaves ALL of their trash behind when they vacate.

In the long run, the reservoir and the fishery will be soooo much better because if the limited shore access. Get out with a guide, share the expense with a buddy, let the guide sweat and work for you and throw the cast net and deal with the anchor. Its worth it especially splitting the fare. Ive only recently been out with a guide, Captn John vegasfishing.com and it was the best catching experience i can remember in the fresh as far as using and learning new techniques and seeing what is possible when your with a pro. You realize how much you dont know when you see what pros do, and see that they dont do much the way you do.

My rates are $275 for a half day trip, and $450 for a full day. I supply everything but food. The fishing is awesome right now.

The shad are moving up, but not full blown yet. I really hate using live shad, as they are a pain in the ass. A very big mess to clean up at the end of the day. They work, but I would rather catch fish on artificials.

Right now no one is catching any stripers, that I know of. I know one guy who rakes on the stripers, and he told me on Wednesday that he has been shutout on them. Not to much happening with them this time of year at DVL. Skinner could be your ticket to some though.
