Bishop and June lake area Map(s)

Heading up in a couple of weeks for 5 days. Anyone aware of more detailed maps than AAA club has to offer on fishing locations?

The local tackle shops have maps of the area and they are more detailed than AAA.

Bishop, is easy, whereas June lake area is huge.

Bishop, fish wier pond, you will see this reeded area when you come around a bend before south lake. Need waders, great fishing, sometimes nice alpers in there. South Lake, you can fish from the granite slab near the launch ramp, or rent a boat and troll for big browns. Long Lake, is a gnarly hike if you arent in shape, but pretty easy if you are in shape, pretty area, not too many people up there. The altitude got to me though, and i had to keep laying down in the grass because i felt like passing out. Once i got back down a thousand feet or so i was fine. Sabrina and intake 2 (i think its called) are pretty cool too. Sabrina is pretty scenary.

But yeah, wier pond is rad if you have waders. i love that hole.

the ranger stations have very detailed maps with the forest service roads clearly labeled on them for the area. the last time we were up there, we saw quite a few people fishing the stream north of Bishop near laws.

Go to REI. They have killer topo maps of the area that shows many of the lakes and trails.
