Name: Robert Peterson Vessel: Yak, Cheesy Poof Location: Alpine Job:My son's official net boy. | Palo Verde Bass Tourny Well, for those of you who care. We had a member / Guest bass tourny on Sunday at our little pond in Alpine, CA. Another good showing of participants this year!
A far cry from last years numbers of fish and size caught however still a great day. With a lot of fun had by most. There were a few sour sports who didn't get what they thought they were going to get (serious trash talking leading up to Sunday) But that is just sweet justice!
My Son again took top honors in the junior division with a three fish weight of 11-9 topped by the lunker of the day at 6-3. This stoked him because he would have taken the adult division as well because top honors went 11-5.
I took top honors for the smallest stringer! It paid off by only showing one fish (to get on the board) at 1-4! Hey at least I got a shirt and hat out of the deal!!!
Hot ticket this year for the boy was slow fishing the "flukes" and finishing up with the flapper hog. I turned into the net boy. "hey dad, get the net this is a good one"! Hey, anytime for that great kid!
Funny thing about his top fish, he caught the EXACT same fish on friday (when he ditched school to prefish) When he caught this fish on friday, he had to cut off the hook because it was deep hooked. When he grabbed the fish he shouted "I can't believe this!" Sure enough it had the hook still in her mouth and the hole in the lip where we weighed it! He said "she listened, I asked her to come back on Sunday and help me win this thing" Classic!
For all the guys that made it a fun day (Derrick, George Hill and the fellow who cooked up all the burgers, and Let us not forget Diane at Lakeside Bait and Tackle for her generous donations! Thanks!)
Thanks for listening!

Name: stacy Age: 41 Vessel: Tracker Location: Temecula, CA Job:Self-Emply | What a win win for the Peterson Clan!!! It could'nt have happend to a nicer Family or young man. Those of you who don't know Caleb in the freash water arena will soon know this young man is a true artist with the sport, he's a good listener, always re-ties his hook, and he always makes sure to help clean the boat when the day is done. hopefully see you this friday and well go fish Vail. Suckers!!!
Stacy is out. |

Maybe it is LOFT. (Lack of Freakin Talent) At least that is what my boy told me :-)
