San V. 6/15/07

Hit the lake today at 6am. or so. Got 6. Nothing on topwater, crank or spinnerbait. 4" Lizard worked though. It was very slow compared to the last few weeks. Lots of tubers, wakeboarders and jet boat guy was out there doing laps. :imgay:

Talked to a few guys in a bass boat and they had 1 fish between them, saw a single fish landed from another boat all morning.

Overall, slow....

Mr. Fish killed them all!!!! (Kidding, just kidding)

Well I ran out of goldfish early and the ones I had left in the baitwell were looking weak, so I let the 50 or so I had go into the lake.

I took the advice of fishstick-er and threw the small bass I caught on the shore hoping to leave only big ones for me to catch.

That did not seem to work, I dropped a trot line and left it.

I'll check it next week, hope there are a few fish on it.

Actually it is because all the fish in the lake have been caught by the evil tournament fishermen and have finally wised up.

I'll help you pull that thing next Thursday. We should have a good limit for two of wakeboarders. BTW good place to dump the goldfish. They wont hurt anything as they are closing the lake.

Believe me those fish are smart. I think I caught the same fish three times at El Cap yesterday. They do say that Florida strain, like they have in San Vee, will condition to a bait a lot faster than a Northern strain from Barrett or Sutherland. Fish yesterday didnt prove that theory.
